How to Apply

Come for a Visit

Schedule a tour and see residences that are available for immediate occupancy.  We will show you around the Community Center, enjoy lunch in our lovely dining room, and then visit residences on campus that are of interest to you.  Call (800) 642-2217 to schedule your visit.

Wait List

If the size home you desire is not immediately available you can get on our wait list. The fee for getting on the wait list is $500 and you can select to be on the list for as many sizes and styles of homes as you want. The wait list deposit will be applied to your first monthly fee when you move in. Click here to review our Wait List Agreement. A preliminary financial review, using our Confidential Disclosure Application, is needed to get on the wait list.

How to Apply Financially

Once you have selected your patio home, a 15% deposit toward your entrance fee is required. This deposit will reserve your patio home during the application process. Sherwood Oaks will hold your deposit check until your approval is complete.

You will be asked to complete a Confidential Disclosure Application to determine if you qualify financially for the specific size patio home that you request.

How to Apply Medically

Once you are financially approved we will schedule an appointment for you to meet with our Medical Director and Community Nurse. You (or your insurance) are responsible for the costs related to this medical application. A Consent to Release Information form is available and can be used to request that your medical records to be sent to Sherwood Oaks in advance of your medical appointment.

Once you have been accepted for residency you will have up to 90 days to move in. The balance of the entrance fee is due when you move in, at which time the monthly fee also begins.
